Graphical Interfaces
Oil & acrylic on canvas | ongoing painting series
GUI, a graphical user interface, often referred to as graphical environment, is a general term used to denote a method of presenting information by the computer and interaction with the user. A graphical environment is actually a group of cooperating programs that enable us to perform basic operations on the computer (starting other applications, browsing catalogues, adjusting settings etc.) in graphical mode. The series of paintings shows how a tangle of information would take the form of a structurally coherent work of art. Interference with part of it will rearrange the remaining, intact data.
